The wait is almost over, the international break is gone and won't grace us with its presence until March. So we've got a series on consecutive game weeks to enjoy. Enough with the chatter let's get into business. Let's take a look at the previous 5 captain picks and how they performed.
5. Christian Benteke: 2 points
4. Georginio Wijnaldum: 6 points
3. Sadio Mané/Graziano Pellè: 2/1 points
2. Kevin De Bruyne: 3 points
1. Jamie Vardy:
9 points
2/5 performers but it was quite an unpredictable week in my opinion.
5. Harry Kane
The young Englishman has scored 5 goals in his last 3 games and will look to carry on against a west ham side who have just lost their best player and will be low on confidence. Spurs look a different team from last season, they look more organized and are full of confidence. They have the youngest squad in the premier league and that will certainly help Kane get some FPL points.
4. Differential Pick: Diego Costa
Chelsea haven't been in their best form defensively but they're still getting the goals and Norwich have conceded the 2nd most goals in the premier league and it's expected of Chelsea to turn their season around at some point. Costa is owned by 3.6% of FPL's active managers and can prove to be a great differential.
3. Mesut Özil
Arsenal will enjoy a lot of possession against West Brom and will get many chances. Özil is a better option than Sanchez as the Chilean is burnt out and Wenger Stated that he might rest him in the upcoming weeks. Özil has outperformed Sanchez in the last few weeks and has the most assists and chances created in the premier league.
2. Jamie Vardy
The Leicester fox is one goal away from RVN's record so he'll be motivated to keep his form up, he's now scored in 9 consecutive games and still sits on top of the premier league's top scorer list.
The only reason he's not at number 1 is because of his injury doubt.
1. Romelu Lukaku
The Belgian beast has scored twice and assisted twice in his last two games and is playing Aston Villa who are sitting at the bottom of the league. Everton are in a solid position in the league despite their tough fixtures and with their run of good fixtures they will perform even better which means more goals for Lukaku.
