This weekend we are challenging you to pick from either Liverpool, (home to Swansea) or Everton (away to Bournemouth). Our players to choose from are Ross Barkley or Philippe Coutinho.
The Englishman looks set to breeze past his total score from last season, next weekend this season and we will only be in the 14th weekend of the season, Kudos Ross Barkley. This is from playing 90 minutes every week except the week just gone and scoring 19 points in Everton's four - nil win over Aston Villa at the weekend and also scoring 11 points in their 3-0 win over Southampton in Game - week 2.
5 goals and 4 assists so far this season, from being priced at 6.8, feels like a bargain to probably most FPL managers, I would think so. Also, it is a great feeling having him in your Fantasy Premier League side, considering as you are 1 of 24.1% of Fantasy managers that do!
Everton's next five fixtures are: Bournemouth (A), Crystal Palace (H), Norwich City (A), Leicester City, (H) and Newcastle United (A).
Out of those fixtures, I expect Everton to win against Bournemouth, Norwich and Newcastle with draws against Crystal Palace and Leicester City. I think Barkley is going to play some role in winning those matches, be it assisting Lukaku or scoring himself. But, I do expect the Englishman to kick on this season and score more points for FPL managers including myself.
It will put him firmly in Roy Hodgson's plans for England's Euro 2016 campaign in June.
Philippe Coutinho - Liverpool
If you think that Liverpool's Brazilian is feeling rejuvenated by the arrival of Jurgen Klopp to Anfield up until now, it's ok, you're not the only one. Coutinho has also like Barkley scored 5 goals so far this season along with 3 assists.
Since the arrival of the German manager, Coutinho has been a lot more consistent for the Red half of Merseyside, especially in his last three games. Against Chelsea (A), Crystal Palace (H) and Manchester City (A), Coutinho has scored 14 points, 10 points and 13 points. Philippe Coutinho has so far scored 70 points overall this season, even though he did get a -2 and 0 in consecutive weeks against West Ham and Manchester United in weeks 4 and 5.
Currently, the Brazilian comes in at 8.3, the Heavy Hitter option in this article and is picked by 20% of FPL managers so far. If you have the money along with the Free Transfers, two probably at this stage of the season, it is worth trying to get Philippe Coutinho into your FPL Team.
Liverpool's next five fixtures are: Swansea City (H), Newcastle United (A), West Brom (H), Watford (A) and Leicester City (H).
All those fixtures are totally winnable for Liverpool, Swansea, Newcastle are on a bad run currently, West Brom and Watford are hard to beat, but if you are Manchester United, then you can and as for Leicester City, they will be on a bad run of fixtures which include home games against Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea and an away trip to Anfield.
So in conclusion, if you have the money then go for Coutinho, but if you want a bit of a differential, go for the Englishman.
